Difference between El Nino, La Nina and ENSO
El Nino, La Nina and ENSO are all dangerous extreme weather phenomena.
El Nino is the term used to describe the abnormal warming of surface ocean waters in the central and eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean.
La Nina is a phenomenon in which the surface water in the above mentioned area cools abnormally.
Meanwhile, ENSO is an acronym for the compound words El Nino Southern Oscillation to refer to both El Nino and La Nina phenomena.
