Sawshark shark in Africa
Sawshark sharks in Africa were discovered by accident in a depth of 490m off Mozambique. This species has a toothed tooth, a long muzzle that is used like a sword to attack other animals.
Together with Sawshark, Squatina caillieti shark was discovered at a depth of 370 m on the coast of Luzon island of the Philippines. In addition, two lanternshark species in the genus Etmopterus have been discovered in Taiwan and South Africa
However, due to limited access and narrow range of habitats of new species, the description of these species is limited.
