Rare shark species discovered

In Japan, a rare shark has been captured. It looked like a female shark, the fins grew long along the body and a jagged sharp tooth .

Recently, Awashima Marine Park in Shizuoka, south of Tokyo was informed by a fisherman about the appearance of a strange creature in a bay in Numazu.

After that, the staff of the marine park caught this 1.6m long animal. It looks like a female shark, the fins grow long along the body, having the shape of a ' living fossil ' because this is an ancient creature that has very little variation compared to prehistoric times. In addition, its mouth is a jagged sharp tooth.

This shark when caught is in a bad condition. The staff put it in the sea tank to film the time when it swam and opened its mouth .

A leader of the park explained, sharks often live at depths from 600 to 1000m, where humans cannot dive. However, this strange shark must climb to the surface because it is sick, or it may become weak when in shallow water. Just a few hours after being caught this shark died.

These longitudinal sharks often eat other sharks and marine life. Sometimes they get caught in the nets of fishing boats using rake nets, but rarely do they catch them while alive.
