Discover a secret tunnel inside the ancient Hittile castle
After excavating a castle in central Turkey, archaeologists discovered a secret tunnel built by the Hittites about 4,000 years.
Hittites ancient Gevale castle.
Geval Castle is on Takkel Mountain in Central Anotolia, 5,500 feet above sea level and a strategic place for people in this region to resist attacks by Egyptians, Assyrians and Thracians.
The Hittites actively built the tunnel and it was about 984 feet long. It was like the special water pipes that were connected secretly.
Gevale Castle has many such reservoirs used to supply water to the altar. The researchers also made assumptions about the population of this area by measuring the size of the reservoir to calculate the amount of water needed. Besides, these tunnels are connected to the outside like a special warehouse of Hittites.
