Mysterious tunnel at the base of the Moon pyramid

Archaeologists have found evidence that the presence of a secret tunnel at the foot of the Moon pyramid in the ancient city of Teotihuacan, Mexico.

Mexico's Institute of Anthropology and National History said researchers used CT scanners and discovered a tunnel at a depth of 9m. This tunnel is located under the square in front of the Moon pyramid in the famous ancient city of Teotihuacan, extending from the pyramid to the center of the square. They thought that this tunnel was used for human rituals and other sacrifices before about 100,000 spectators.

The Moon Pyramid is located at the northern end of Calzada de los Muertos (Path to Death) of the Teotihuacan archaeological site. This pyramid was named after the Aztecs after discovering Teotihuacan - an ancient city built by Mesoamerica people .
