Discover the healthiest giant dinosaur skeleton

The skeleton may be a new species - a giant herbivore - newly excavated in Argentina. With a tail-head length of 32-34 meters and as tall as a 4-storey building, the animal belongs to the group of 3 largest dinosaurs on the planet.

The dinosaur, named Futalognkosaurus dukei, once roamed the land of present-day northern Patagonia about 80 million years ago."It's a new species, a new group," said paleontologist Juan Porfiri, an Argentine.

It is a new branch of tinanosaur, with a particularly bulky neck, even meters in diameter, big and strong, he said. Its name is suggested by the Mapuche dialect meaning "lord of the lizard" and the name of Duke Energy, the main sponsor of the excavation.

Fossils remain intact to 70%, compared with only about 10% of other dinosaur findings in the world.

" It's like the whole world has been lost to us ," the researchers said.

" It is among the largest dinosaur findings and the most complete skeleton. We have all vertebrae from the first part of the neck to the first part of the tail, allowing us to be able to reassess the Other dinosaurs, "said Alexander Kellner, an expert at the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
