Discover the world's longest freezing gorge
Scientists have recently discovered a giant canyon under Greenland's ice. This canyon is now believed to be the longest canyon in the world.
This gigantic gorge meanders from the highest point of the center of Greenland, along the Petermann Glacier glacier on the northwest coast with a length of over 750km, about 10km wide, 800m deep. According to experts, the flat-bottomed V-shaped walls indicate that it is the water, not the ice, that makes this imposing canyon buried.

Jonathan Bamber, research author and a geographer at Bristol University (UK) said."You think you know all about the surface of this Earth? That's not true because there is still a lot to learn about this wonderful planet of us."

Along with NASA's help, the experts collected 3D images of this canyon. Through research, scientists found that its structure functions as a melting water tunnel under Greenland's coastal ice.
This structure is considered an important finding because it can help to calculate the possible scenarios in the future, in the context of the Earth is gradually heating up like this.
