An Israeli farmer while irrigating the potato garden at Tel Aviv, discovered four ancient ostrich eggs dating to 5,000 years old. At first, this person mistakenly thought it was old melons.

According to scientists, the integrity of these eggs indicates that the area could be a natural habitat for ancient ostrich species. These eggs are kept safely underground for thousands of years and are found only after heavy rains flood the field, creating a small gap in the ground, rolling the eggs to the surface. This discovery may help clarify some myths in the Israeli Bible.

Currently scientists are conducting irradiation to find out more about these eggs and their origins as well as about the natural life of the period 5000 years ago, before bringing them on display at the museum for all people admire.
