Archaeologists from Kinneret University (Israel) announced on August 11 that they had discovered an ancient Roman arrow from nearly 2,000 years ago in the north of the country.

According to the group of scientists, the arrow was shot from a Roman catapult during their encirclement of Israel's ancient city of Yodfat in 67 AD.

The launch of this arrow takes place in the context of the Roman emperor of the time Nero opened up the repression of large Jewish rebellions that began to erupt in 66 AD.

About 60,000 Roman soldiers gathered in the ancient city of Acre on the Mediterranean coast to attack Yodfat and after a short time they surrounded the city.

According to Mordechai Aviam, head of the aforementioned archaeologist group, the above arrow is vivid and clear evidence of the beginning of a large-scale Jewish uprising and the first war. in the Sea of ​​Galilea in 67 AD.
