Discovered gold and silver 900 tons mines in Russia
Geologists searching for pyrite copper ore discovered nearly 900 tons of gold and silver in Russia's Bashkortostan Republic, Sputnik reported.
There are about 87 tons of gold and 787 tons of silver in this mine.
When surveying about 28 square kilometers to find pyrite, geologists drilled exploration wells, from 346m to 510m deep into the ground. What they found was rich in pyrite copper, mixed with zinc, gold and silver.
According to Rosgeo, there are about 87 tons of gold and 787 tons of silver there. Meanwhile, the amount of copper pyrite and zinc is about 538,000 tons and 906,000 tons.
Rosgeo intends to apply to apply for a license to exploit the metals. The company said geological and economic calculations show that underground mining in this area is feasible.
