Discovered ice on Mars
An American spacecraft found evidence of ice on Mars. This is a sign that the red planet can nourish life.
The US Aerospace Agency (NASA) announced that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter detected ice in five new pits on Mars thanks to a spectrophotometer. These pits are only a few meters in diameter and lie in the middle latitudes, quite far from the poles. It is possible that they were created when meteors rushed into the red planet.

' Ice in craters may be the legacy of wet weather a few thousand years ago. This is a real water source , 'said Shane Byrne, an astronomer at the University of Arizona (USA).
According to the AP , this is the first time scientists have discovered ice in the immediate position of the planet on Mars. Until now, many scientists believed that ice was only deep in the earth on this planet. The equipment on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter calculated that the ice in the pits had 99% purity. Ice crystals are much brighter than rock in the pits. But after a few months they turn into gas due to exposure to the atmosphere.
According to an article published in September 25 in Scientific American, the finding could help astronauts get water and hydrogen fuel for rocket engines during Mars expeditions. Future.
