Discovered Russian generals in Turkey
A builder in Turkey discovered the grave thought of a 19th-century Russian general while preparing to build a house in the eastern part of the country.
The coffin of the Russian general is found in Turkey's Ardahan province.
Archaeologists come to the scene.
Accordingly, during the excavation process, he unearthed a coffin, inside a man's remains. The body parts of the body were well preserved, allowing archaeologists to arrive at the scene to determine that the dead was a Russian general.
According to museum staff from Kars Street, the Russian general lived about 140 years ago and participated in Russian military campaigns in the Caucasus and Turkey. In particular, he could be buried in the area after 1878, when the land was transferred to the Russian side following the outcome of the Russo-Turkish War.
Currently law enforcement agencies are studying artifacts. Then the corpse and the coffin will be passed on to archaeologists.
