6,000-year-old coffin in Turkey

5 stone coffins dating to about 6,000 years old have been discovered in a western province of Turkey.

Today's Zaman said 5 stone coffins were discovered in the Sandıklı area of ​​Afyonkarahisar province. Workers stumbled upon ancient coffins while using machines to excavate large stone mines here.

After discovering a casket at the mine, they immediately informed the Afyonkarahisar Archaeological Museum. Archaeological experts later discovered four stone coffins during the excavation process and identified these as high historical values.

In the excavation area, the team also discovered broken glass, plates and other bone fragments. Afyonkarahisar Museum will preserve these specimens and continue to conduct research.
