Although Tigan was taken from his family south of London in July 2004, the owners said they had never forgotten Tigan.
"We have never stopped hoping to find it again , " Susan Pittman said.
Pittman said she spent hours walking around the neighborhood looking for eight-year-old Tigan. She also posted posters calling, but no results.
But two years later, Tiger was taken to the camp in Battersea, and because there was an electronic chip on him , they identified the owner.
" At first I thought it was a trick when Battersea called this morning, but when I realized it was a real phone call, we came immediately ."
She said: " We are so happy to bring her back ."
