Based on the climatic needs of mountain climbers, a Danish company produces a smart straw that filters dirt into the mouth.

According to Dailymail (UK), the special 22- inch Lifestraw tube, which allows you to drink safe water from any source, even in polluted pits or toilets.

Lifestraw is currently available on the Firebox online sale for £ 29.99 (£ 986,000).

Lifestraw has been developed by Danish producers since 2005 as a new solution to water shortages in third world countries, where one child dies from drinking water every 15 seconds.

Lifestraw was voted the best inventor of 2005, by Time Magazine. Gizmag also voted it a century invention.

In 2006, the New York Times praised this as 'a water purifier that can save lives.' Forbes called it one of the ten innovations that changed the way people live.

Dailymail says the filter can filter up to 1,000 liters of water, removing 99.9999% of bacteria and many other parasites, including E coli, Campylobacter, Cholerae, Pseudomonas, Aeruginosa, Shigella and Salmonella.
