Dutch teenager turns mouse into a plane
- The sadness of Hamster mice, Pepeijn Bruins, 13, decided to do something special for his furry friend. So he came to two Dutch inventors Arjen Beltman and Bart Jansen for help. Soon after, the mouse was stuffed and made into the world's first hand-held 'mouse fly' .
Bart and Arjen are dead animal experts. Before that, they also turned ostriches and cats into helicopters. Recent projects are shark aircraft. And this time by his own, the two helped a boy overcome the pain of losing his best friend.
Pepeijn said: 'I love you very much. You always like to cuddle and always running, hiding. When you know you have cancer and do not go away, you are very sad. And you used to watch Uncle Bart, Arjen and their flying cat, so I asked you if you could have a fly mouse. '
The inventors immediately agreed to implement this project . 'When I learned that the boy's rat died of cancer, and how grieving he was, I decided I needed help , ' Arjen said. 'Strictly speaking, it is very different from making a cat fly, having three propellers instead of four, and because it is a small rodent, it is extremely light weight, so it is very easy to get wind.'
The inventive utopian projects were screened on the TV documentary All Creatures Great and Stuffed, on September 10. According to director Matt Rudge, "Everything I filmed for this documentary was amazing. However, Bart and Arjen's inventions are more than that. '
'I never thought that I would see the cat fly, followed by a mouse with a propeller. When they told me that the next plan was to make shark jets, I thought they were talking. But three months later, the plane was ready to take off.
