Earthquake raged in Guatemala

On June 13, an earthquake struck Guatemala and some parts of the country's neighboring countries, causing people to rush to the streets to ensure safety. Currently, there is still no accurate information on human and human losses.

The 6.8-magnitude quake occurred at 1:30 pm, local time and lasted about 22 seconds. The epicenter was 70 miles (about 110 km) away from Guatemala's capital city to the southwest.

This earthquake also strongly affected the neighboring country of El Salvador. But there has been no announcement of casualties and property damage. The Tapachula city of Mexico, located near the Guatemalan border, also felt the quake of this earthquake.

Earthquakes often occur in this area. Most notably, the 1976 earthquake killed 23,000 people. Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said there is no risk of a tsunami due to the impact of this earthquake.
