Strong earthquake off the coast of Mexico
A 6.3-magnitude quake struck just off Mexico's Pacific coast, not far from the border with Guatemala, the US Geological Survey said.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred on 22h43 GMT on May 1 (Vietnam time 5h5), with the epicenter at a depth of 44km, 90km from Tapichula, Chiapas state of Mexico and 265km from Guatemala City.
A strong 4.6 richter aftershock occurred less than 15 minutes later. An earthquake with an intensity of 4.5 richter also occurred in the same location earlier on May 1.
Also on the same day, a powerful 5.7-magnitude earthquake occurred in the far north, off Mexico's Pacific coast, about 200km southwest of Mexico City. No notice of casualties and major damage. This is the fourth earthquake to be felt in the capital in more than a month, since a major earthquake on March 20 killed two people and injured dozens.
