Earthquakes caused many local shakes in Thua Thien Hue

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in the two provinces of Thua Thien - Hue and Quang Tri, causing confusion among the people.

On December 21, information from the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Rescue Search in Thua Thien - Hue province, the province has just happened an earthquake of 3.5 Richter scale.

According to the Institute of Geophysics, at 0823 (GMT) on December 21 (ie 2:23 am Hanoi time), an earthquake with magnitude M = 3.5 in A Luoi district (Thua Thien Hue), the depth of the drainage about 7km.

The earthquake caused the ground in A Luoi and Hue City (Thua Thien Hue) and many other localities in Dakrong district (Quang Tri) to shake in a few seconds.

Mr. Ho Van Ngoc, Secretary of Huc Nghi commune Party Committee (Dakrong district), said: "Around 15:30 on the same day, people in the area felt a strong shaking, ran away from the house."

Mr. Ngoc said that when working on the 2nd floor of the People's Committee headquarters, he also felt that everything in the office was shaking so he ran away panicked.
