This study was done by monitoring 48,835 women eating and drinking and monitoring the diseases they had suffered for 15 years, since 1992.

Perhaps to improve the reliability of the research results, the number of supervised women belongs to all different races. However, most are white women (82%). The rest are black (11%), Mexican (4%) and Asian (2%). Most are obese women.

To test the theory of fat and heart disease and cancer, they randomly divided women into two groups.

Group 1 includes 19,541 people (about 40%) are instructed how to eat so that the amount of fat is only about 20% of the total calories. And group 2 is a control group of 29,294 people who still eat and drink as usual, do not change anything.

Comparison of the disease level of the two groups based on statistical data analysis, scientists found, the results are astounding!

The proportion of people suffering from diseases such as cancer and heart disease in both groups is quite different but speaking in professional language is "the level of difference does not mean statistically"!

Specifically, group 2 (ie normal eating group, high in fat) has a breast cancer rate of 0.45%. In group 1 (eating less fat), the rate of breast cancer is only 0.42%.

Particularly heart disease, group 1 has a rate of 0.86% of women with heart disease, while group 2 (control group), this rate is 0.88%.

In short, there is no big difference in the risk of heart disease, cancer between the low-fat group and the control group, who are eating normally with more fat!

In other words, even if you eat less fat, there is no effect in reducing the risk of breast cancer, bowel cancer, atherosclerosis, stroke, or death in general.

This conclusion has upset a nutrition theory after World War II.

According to previous studies, fat raises cholesterol. Cholesterol clogs arteries and results in atherosclerosis. Fat also increases the risk of cancer, especially breast cancer and bowel cancer.

Taking one of the two diseases (heart disease and cancer), only water makes people die prematurely. Therefore, it is best to abstain from fat!
