Egypt moved the marble Pharaoh the statue to the Great Museum of Egypt in Cairo. The statue is nearly 12 meters tall and weighs 83 tons and is moved a distance of 400m to the main gate of the museum, AFP reported.
This 3,200-year-old Great Pharaoh statue was first discovered by Italian archaeologists in 1820, at the Ptah Temple about 10km south of Cairo.
The statue was placed in a square in front of the train station in Cairo, and then transferred to a museum in 2006. On January 25, the capital of Cairo once again removed the statue. Pharaoh the Great came to the main gate of the Great Museum of Egypt, to attract visitors.
