This electric car also looks like a normal car but it doesn't have a smoke exhaust. The car has a rechargeable battery. If traveling short, the driver can charge the battery at home or company. If traveling long distances, drivers can replace batteries at 150 battery exchange stations, which are expected to be built throughout Israel in the near future. Battery replacement time is equal to fuel filling time.

This is an initiative of Shai Agassi, an Israeli-American businessman. France's Renault has joined this electric car manufacturing project and the Israeli government has supported the project.

This is a welcome invention in a time when oil prices are high and the world faces many risks from greenhouse gas emissions.
