Energy prospect by wind

Currently, among the new energy sources, wind power is the fastest growing in the world because of abundant materials, inexpensive, easy to apply, clean and does not harm the environment.

According to the World Wind Energy Council, global wind power production is expected to reach 149.5 gigawatts (GW) by 2010, double the current output.

In 2006 alone, wind power plants around the world produced 74 GW, an increase of 25% over the previous year. Europe is still the world leader in wind power production with a installed capacity of 40,500 MW, accounting for two-thirds of the world's wind power. The amount of electricity generated by wind is enough to meet the needs of 40 million people.

Denmark currently has the world's largest wind power capacity, accounting for 20% of the total domestic electricity production. Denmark is also the leading country in installing offshore wind power plants. Germany is a country with wind power capacity accounting for 6% of electricity production, Spain accounts for 8% of its electricity output.

And wind power will satisfy up to 23% of Europe's electricity demand by 2030. North America is the second largest region behind Europe in wind power production.

However, in the 2006-2010 period, wind power will thrive in Asia, especially in China and India.

According to the China Wind Energy Association, the country has so far built 44 wind power plants, ranked 10th in the world and 3rd in Asia. However, this figure only accounts for 0.2% of the total domestic electricity capacity.

China is aiming to increase the total wind power installation capacity to 5 million KW by the end of 2010. The attraction of the large renewable energy market with low production costs in China creates the environment attract domestic and international companies " rushing " to invest in building wind power exploitation areas or wind power equipment factories across the country.

Africa is the slowest growing continent in wind power production. Currently, the production of wind power is mainly conducted at

Egypt and Morocco. It is expected that by 2010, wind power output in this continent will reach 900 MG / year.
