EPCs cells determine the heart disease of fat people
Obese body will affect the natural recovery process of cardiovascular, while applying appropriate measures to reduce fat can help improve the situation.
It is a recent report by scientists from the Heart Center, Academy of Medicine, University of Göttingen (Germany).
Scientists have focused on a type of cell called endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) that help regenerate blood vessels. This cell is present in the bone marrow and plays an important role in maintaining the inner coating of blood vessels.
Scientists took the blood cells from 49 obese people from a fat reduction project. Then compare with cells of people with normal body weight.
As a result, people with excess body weight, many important functions that help revitalize blood vessels are contained in inhibited EPCs, resulting in diseases such as high blood sugar, cholesterol . in obese people all have a close relationship with this type of EPCs.
The study also found that those who applied the fat reduction method appropriately for half a year, the function of EPCs cells would be restored.
This is the first time scientists have studied the effects of EPCs on obese people. The results of this study have a great effect on the prevention and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
