Particularly in the city of Lyon, temperatures in the past days reached 30 degrees Celsius, making April 2007 the hottest April in this city.

Belgium is also receiving the hottest April since 1830. In Germany, the sunshine time is also recorded as a record high. In the UK, the national meteorological agency said the first 23 days of April this year were the hottest days since 1945.

In the past 33 days, the Netherlands had no rain. In Italy, there has been a drought warning that may cause electricity shortages this summer.

Experts and farmers are currently worried about drought this summer."The weather will get hotter in the coming months and that's not a good sign," Daloz said.
