A farmer in Thanh Hoa during excavation of a house near the World Heritage Site of Ho Dynasty has encountered an ancient bronze drum dating back 2,000-2,500 years old.

On September 26, information from the World Heritage Center of Ho Chi Minh City (Thanh Hoa) said that this unit has set up an inspection team to where people discovered ancient bronze drums to carry out procedures to receive and preserve the neck. objects according to the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Law.

The ancient bronze drum dating back thousands of years was discovered near the World Heritage Site of Ho Dynasty.

Earlier, while digging a foundation to build a house, Mr. Trinh Van Lo (living in Cau Mu village, Vinh Long commune, Vinh Loc district; and a more than 1km southeast of Thanh Nha Ho heritage) discovered an ancient bronze drum. .

Through the shape, pattern and pattern of the newly discovered bronze drum, it can be said that this is Dong Son type I (Heger I) bronze drum , dating from about 2,000 to 2,500 years ago today.

Drum has a diameter of 59cm, height 43cm. The top has a star decoration with 12 floating wings, no toad statues adorned on the edge of the drum face, the patterns and patterns are still sophisticated. However, a part of the empty surface was broken, the empty part also broke many places due to oxidation.

It is known that Cau Mu village is an ancient village, more than 1 km southeast of the Nha Ho Heritage site. Previously, in this area, there were many ancient bronze drums with cultural and historical values.
