Explore Thailand's most beautiful caves
Phraya Nakon Cave is one of the most beautiful caves, and is also the most photographed cave in Thailand.
Phraya Nakon Cave
Phraya Nakon Cave is hidden deep inside Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, located 300km south of Bangkok. It was named after Phraya Nakho n - who happened to find the cave 200 years before his boat was hit by a hurricane. The main attraction of the cave is the Kuha Karuhas house located inside. The house was built by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1890, soon after he came to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the cave and felt extremely excited.
King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) and the present Thai king, King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) also visited this place. Therefore, there was a special space in the family that kept the signatures of both King Rama V and King Rama VII.
Guests can walk from the park's Laem Sala beach to visit this magnificent cave. The hill road leads to the cave 430m long, quite steep and bumpy, however along the way there are many places for tourists to relax and watch the sea in the distance.
Phraya Nakon Cave is actually two parts of the land where the dome has fallen. This helped the sunlight shine into the cave, creating a romantic setting, especially in the morning. Of course, this is also the best time of the day to visit Phraya Nakon.
