If this is the case, this will be one of the biggest discoveries of the 21st century. Scientists have used endoscopic methods to look behind the wall painting of painter Giorgio Vasari. They found traces of a black paint similar to those used in da Vinci's two famous works, St. John the Baptist and Mona Lisa. Scientists think it is a bad picture called 'Battle of Anghiari ' that the artist painted from 1504.

Lead researcher Maurizio Seracini said what they had found was a sign of credibility but needed further analysis to confirm it was da Vinci's masterpiece. According to the Telegraph (UK), Seracina spent more than 35 years searching for da Vinci's lost works.

However, some other experts are skeptical about this finding. They thought that it could be any picture from the Renaissance and a scientific authority group needed to evaluate the findings.
