Archaeologists in Guatemala have discovered a grave from the 7th century that belongs to one of the greatest queens of ancient Mayan civilization.

K'abel queen's tomb was found during excavation of the royal ancient city in El Peru-Waka, northwest of Peten (Guatemala), according to NBC News leading a press release from Washington University in St. Louis. Louis (USA).
Anthropology professor David Freidel, co-chair of the survey, said he found a small plasterboard, carved inside the crypt, and this is the evidence that helped identify the owner of the tomb. 'abel.

Queen K'abel ruled the kingdom with her husband K'inich Bahlam from 672 to 692. She was the military leader of the Wak kingdom, belonging to the royal family of the Snake King.
