Flower carpet holds the beach environment

More than 1000m 2 of Long Hai coastal alluvial soil, Vung Tau City has just been experimented with carpeting of green plants by technology from the Middle East. This model promises to be replicated along the coast of Vietnam.

In June 2012, the People's Committee of Ba Ria Vung Tau province approved the project of planting experimental trees on an area of ​​nearly 1,000m2 of mudflats in Long Hai town, Long Dien district. A few months after deployment, from a non-nutrient sea sand area, only weeds, cacti grew, the land was covered with the colors of flowers and trees, impressing visitors in and abroad when coming to Long Hai.

According to Mr. Tran Luong, Director of a construction company in Ba Ria Vung Tau province, the project implementation unit said that the unit planted flowers and trees according to Dubai's model on an area of ​​nearly 1,000m 2 of mudflats. wild. This is the technology applied by the Middle East countries to plant flowers and trees in harsh weather conditions such as sun and wind.

The outstanding feature of this technology is the element of saving water resources, but still bringing high efficiency for crops, and at the same time preventing erosion for coastal areas.

According to the Vietnam Tourism Development Plan until 2030, Vietnam will develop marine tourism towards landscape, cultural and sports tourism combined with leisure and entertainment. To attach importance to improving the tourist environment, improving the quality of tourist services in parallel with the work of protecting the environment, preserving national cultural identities and selectively acquiring experiences of other countries.

According to Mr. Tran Luong, the model of planting flowers and coastal trees is very suitable to protect the landscape in many marine tourism areas such as Ha Long, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau .
