According to SputnikNews, this is the first car in the world that 90% of its important parts and components are made of plastic.

To produce this car, scientists from Tokyo University and vehicle engineers combined different plastics.

Because it is made of plastic, the vehicle's weight is 40% lighter than a regular car, which saves more energy and opens new prospects for electric vehicle development.

Japan is currently at the forefront of innovation in the automotive field. It is expected that the country will be put into service by 2020 and then commercialized in 2022.
