Germany successfully created the butterfly-like robot

Butterfly Butterfly is a new product launched by Robot Festo Company (Germany). This robot is simulated with butterflies in addition to the reality of the surprise.

Germany successfully built butterfly robots

Butterfly robots are inspired by nature. Previously, scientists created many animal-simulating robots, however, very few of them could move as they were in the real world. Robot Festo just came to the surprise when announcing a robotic robot with a beautiful appearance.

It is known that this type of butterfly robot weighs about 32 grams, uses battery and can fly within 4 minutes. In particular, their wings are made of elastic membranes and supported by a thin carbon rod. The length of each wing is about 50cm.

The researchers placed these robotic butterflies in a room and drove them around, but they did not collide with walls or other objects, even colliding. To do this, a smart network system based on 10 high speed infrared cameras is located around the room where mechanical butterflies fly. These cameras will track the infrared sign on each butterfly and send the actual data to the server - which coordinates the movement of the butterfly.

Festo said the company produced the butterfly was not for business purposes. Robots are used for scientific research to develop small and lightweight robots in the future . The notable feature of this invention is the combination of intelligent mechanical control and energy saving units in small spaces. "The maximum reduction in the use of composite materials will allow robots to move in real life," said Festo.
