Giant python species in South America
Scientists have discovered a green python that is believed to be the world's largest in South America.
>>> Why the python heart is twice its size
The male of the python is 8.8m long, weighs 227kg and has a diameter of 30cm. Females are larger than males, can be up to 9m long and weigh 250kg. The after-born pythons are about 0.6m in size and hunt prey immediately afterwards.

NationalGeographic said that this species often lives in marshes, mainly in the tropical rainforest of the Amazon and Orinoco areas. They move quite slowly on the ground but swim very quickly when under water.
The main food of giant python is wild boar, deer, turtle, jaguar. Due to the eyes and the nose lying high above their heads, they can observe prey or "opponents" when underwater.
When the prey is caught, the giant python South America will curl its body around its prey, using muscle to suffocate its prey. They can swallow prey of all sizes. The life of this python is about 10 years.
Earlier, the Guinness Book of Records recognized the title "the world's largest python" living in Kansas City, USA, nearly 8m long, weighing 136kg, named Medusa.
