Google is pulling YouTube and Google Earth closer together by allowing users of digital mapping services to find a location that will be taken from YouTube whenever they find a place.

Google's goal is for users of digital mapping services to get a closer look at the places they are visiting through Google Earth.

In fact, users of Google Earth can now view photos of the visit site that were uploaded to Ponaramio - a new digital photo service acquired by Google in May.

In the case of YouTube, the video creator will explicitly assign his video to make a location by placing 'geo-tagging' before proceeding to upload the page. This solution enables Google Earth to quickly find the video and attach it to relevant locations.

Microsoft Corp's Virtual Earth and Yahoo Maps also provide users with the ability to view maps that incorporate links to websites, images and videos related to that location.

Google encourages users to download the latest version of Google Earth to enjoy the latest features of the service.
