On June 19, YouTube officially launched 9 versions of websites that share localized online videos for each country separately. Initially only the display functions and languages are translated into the language of the country.
YouTube's ultimate goal is to localize both content posted on the page with thematic pages that match the user's preferences in each of the different territories. Users will be able to vote on videos by region or post comments in their native language.
YouTube 'copy' this time includes YouTube Brazil, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland and Spain. Currently users in these countries can switch to using the new version.
Initially YouTube 'copies' will use subdomains under youtube.com domain names but later they will be using their own domain names. For example, Japanese YouTube will have the youtube.jp domain name.
About analysts assess YouTube's new move is to target the globalization of online video sharing services. Over time, the company has repeatedly signed several important contracts with content providers in many different countries, enabling a variety of content to appear on the site as long as they are not banned.
Launching language versions of different countries' websites is also part of a plan to attract more visitors and create a new wave of development for YouTube as well as online video sharing services. .
