Google supports handwriting input tools

Google has added handwriting input tools on Gmail and Google Docs. With this new tool, Google is showing its ambition to bring back the forgotten handwriting.

According to a Google representative, "text input makes Internet use easier and also contributes significantly to breaking the language barrier."

A handwriting input tool allows the user to write any language just by using the mouse cursor and it automatically pops up an input box for you to select.

To use this tool, you need to click Install, in the Language menu, select Input Tools. A list of keyboard characters provided by Google will appear, and you only need to select the pencil-shaped language icon that is available for handwriting email experience. Only once, you can use it whenever from the toolbar at the top.

With new tools, languages with complex characters such as Japanese or Indian can be written simply than typing a lot. However, to decode your doodles, it takes a lot of time. So far, Google has supported 50 languages on Gmail and 20 languages on Google Docs for this function.

Handwriting input tools are now also included by Google on mobile translation applications.
