Google Talk adds voice mail functionality

One-year anniversary of Google Talk's launch, the developer decided to upgrade to allow users to send files and send messages to each other.

Now users of instant messaging and voice chat services can use the "Send file" key and select a file to send. A thumbnail of the file will be displayed in the chat window. Users can also enlarge the miniature image to the actual size.

With the new voicemail feature, users can send voicemail to friends by launching a call and waiting for the object to respond or send a voicemail directly. Users of email services on Google's Gmail web can listen to voicemail directly on the network without downloading anything. And users who send software receive e-mail on personal computers, they need to download the attached MP3 file to listen to voicemail.

In this upgrade, Google also added a new feature that allows Google Talk users to see what their friends are listening to through their status message stream. This new feature currently only supports the display language is English.

Google Talk is a very important part of the strategy of Google's leading search provider. With Google Talk, Google wants to make it easier for users to find information and communicate online with each other.

Following this strategy, Google invested in an additional 5% stake in AOL to create a similarity between the instant messaging service of both companies. Meanwhile, their competitor, Microsoft and Yahoo, have also officially announced their services.
