Google tested radio ads

This long-awaited service has just been officially "triggered" by Google, in an effort to expand its power beyond the Web.

In this pilot program, Google will help sell ads on more than 700 radio channels in more than 200 US cities. The company hopes the number of future partner radio stations will rise to 5000.

Of course, at this point, Google has lagged far behind the age-old radio advertising services such as Software Media Exchange. The service currently has more than 1500 radio broadcast channels, with a daily audience of more than 9 million people.

The whole process of selling and broadcasting ads to listeners is automatically animated. As with the Web, Google intends to charge additional commissions when it helps the stations sell ads.

The fact that Google diverted its attention to radio territory has been signaled since January this year, when dMarc Broadcasting acquired $ 102 million. After that time, Google worked very hard to make it compatible with its existing Internet advertising system.

The online advertising platform has become an abundant gold mine, and Google's profit this year is expected to reach $ 3 billion, which is nearly 30 times more than 2002. Nearly all of the money These are all earned from short advertisements posted on the Web. But that's why some analysts worry that Google lacks other money-making channels.

To reassure this concern, Google is trying to squeeze into the field of print, magazine and radio advertising. However, its initial efforts with the magazine playing field had little to no effect.
