Hacker 'trick' iPhone calls in ... Australia

A mischievous hacker succeeded in tricking Apple's iPhone and deliberately conducting a mobile call through Australia's Telstra network.

According to the calendar, the iPhone will not be released in Kanchuru before 2008. However, the anonymous hacker managed and unlocked it successfully, making the iPhone no longer tied to the AT&T network in the US alone.

However, up to this point, he still cannot receive incoming calls and send and receive SMS messages via iPhone. And although Telstra has an EDGE 2.5G network, Internet access from the iPhone is still out of reach.

However, the instructions attached to the analysis: which steps can be unlocked, which steps cannot . remain intact on the Internet, no way to remove it.

Just a fool, not unlocked

Under the nick Ozbimmer, an Australian hacker created a separate SIM card, accompanied by a reader and a homemade SIM card. Information from AT&T and Telstra Sims has been combined to create this Sim card, allowing him to make outgoing calls.

But just like Ozbimmer's claim, "this is not a true crackdown. I just tricked the iPhone" to think "I am using a legitimate AT&T sim card." The method that Ozbimmer uses is as follows:

- Purchase of necessary software and hardware: An unlimited SIM card reader / writer of Infinity USB, a silver card, SIM-EMU 6.01 and WoronScan 1.09.

- Get information about IMSI and KI of both AT&T and Telstra networks using WoronScan software.

- Use SIM-EMU and create 2 files (1 flash and 1 EEPROM).

- Finally, use these 2 files to create a new sim card, thanks to the Infinity USB reader / writer.
