Hai Phong people rushed to see the blue lake
A lake of about 20 hectares, green in An Son commune (Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong city) attracts thousands of visits of local people in recent days.
The lake is surrounded by Trai Son limestone mountain range.
Mr. Tuan, residing in An Son commune, said that recently, the unique beauty of the green lake in the area has attracted a great number of people and locals to visit. "Every week there are thousands of visitors, the most are on Saturdays and Sundays. Many families also bring a mobile tent, and stay until late at night ," Tuan said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dang (Chairman of An Son CPC), the lake is green due to the influence of surrounding limestone and explosive substances . Many years ago, this was a quarry area for cement production and construction materials. The mountains are gradually "eroded" , then some businesses bring machines and explosives to exploit negative stone. From 2011 to 2014, the entire area of the foot of the rocky mountain is more than 20 ha deepened to 30 to 40 m.And the negative rock pit becomes a large lake containing rainwater, blue.
The lightness of blue lake in An Son commune changes many times a day, depending on the sky.
Many young people choose a green lake as a "background" for pictures like that.
