Amazing blue giant ice lake

Many tourists and photographers have come to Michigan (USA) to admire the magnificent laps covering Mackinac's waist, which connects two of the great five.

Typically, residents around Mackinac's waist encounter some small blue ice floats floating on the lake surface in winter every year. However, there has never been a lake covered with blue ice like this year, even icebergs crashed into the riverbank, creating wonders right next to the lakeside houses.

Scientists reason that this amazing blue color is a sign of extremely thick and solid ice. Tape with normal thinness has more air bubbles so it reflects more uniform light and has pure white color.

This phenomenon is due in part to the extreme harsh winter that Michigan residents have experienced with day temperatures below -40 ° C. The weather forecast says this terrible cold will last at least this week.

According to photographer Tori Burley, who is also a local resident, she took this amazing spectacle of different hours of the day to catch different shades of blue. This was the first time she saw such a huge amount of green ice.
