Hail fell again in Lao Cai

3/4 night, along with thunderstorms, hail appeared in Sapa district with light intensity. This is the fifth hail in Lao Cai since March 27.

Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Nga, observer of Sapa Meteorological Station, said hail started at 23h58 and lasted about 7 minutes. Stone bead diameter is equal to corn grain, spread into a thin layer in front of the yard, path and without causing damage.

According to Mr. Luu Minh Hai, Director of Lao Cai Hydro-meteorological Center, due to the influence of high wind convergence, hail appears with rain and thunderstorms, measured in Sapa at only 14mm.

Thus, from March 27 until now, Lao Cai suffered 5 hail, including two big games. The first battle appeared early March 27, causing 12,000 houses to be damaged in 3 districts of Muong Khuong, Si Ma Cai and Bac Ha, more than 30 people were injured.

The second heavy rain came early on March 29 in Bao Yen district with a size of 7-8cm stone, causing hundreds of houses to fail.
