The US Weather Agency (NWS) said that the cold wave from the Arctic spill could pull temperatures in many areas of the US down to -51 degrees Celsius, and warn people to stay at home, avoid the roads and reserve food. The NWS asserts that this type of cold weather is 'deadly danger'.

US officials also warned people will face some incidents such as inoperable cars and slippery roads.
