It consists of a 0.5m diameter optical telescope designed and manufactured by a famous Italian company. The glass has an autonomous control dome with automatic control, a dedicated image recorder and a high quality spectrum analyzer.

With this device, users can observe the variable star to study the properties of the atmosphere, measure the spectral line from stars, measure the radial velocity of the host to search for objects near Earth, super nova.

The space projection house consists of 100 seats, 12m in diameter, designed with a dome-shaped screen. Images as well as footage are shown on the dome screen by a system of 6 high-resolution projectors, creating a 3D effect, providing a true experience of space and stars.

"When in operation, films about the history of cosmic formation will be shown by the most visual image thanks to the cosmic projection house. Visitors also witness the operation of large diameter telescopes. most of Vietnam today, " said Tuan.

Hanoi Observatory is one of two programs built in the framework of Vietnam Space Center project. Previously, Nha Trang Observatory located in Hon Chong (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) opened and attracted many visitors.
