Hanoi put a lot of effort against storm Nesat

The impact of typhoon Nesat, Hanoi city has been raining since September 29 with low rainfall of about 10 mm. However, the wind is getting stronger and it is predicted that the total rainfall will be about 150 mm.

According to the Hanoi Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control, the water level of the city's rivers is low so the drainage capacity is fast. At present, the regulating reservoirs have been lowered to contain water and pumping stations are operating continuously.

From this morning, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Xuan Viet checked the harvest of winter rice, water drainage in Hoai Duc, Ung Hoa and Dan Phuong districts. City chairman Nguyen The Thao also surveyed and urged storm prevention in drainage pump stations.

Accompanying the inspection team, Mr. Ha Duc Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the local functional forces are on duty as planned, no bad situation has occurred.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Deputy General Director of the Green Park Company, the most concern is the wind gusts plus heavy rain will cause many trees to fall.
