Melting lava flows from Big Island, Hawaii, spilling into the ocean were recorded in the video that attracted great attention. Kilauea volcano began erupting continuously since 1983, but the lava flow never had a journey longer than 11km to reach the ocean as on November 25th.
Authorities are now warning visitors to stay away from the lava flow."The lava flows into the sea are quite beautiful but also very dangerous ," said Janet Babb, a spokesman for the Hawaii Volcanic Observatory, US Geological Survey.
Also according to the spokesperson, lava and hot water created when lava is in contact with the ocean can be dangerous for people standing up to 100m away.
Although there is no truly special landscape, the volcanoes in Hawaii attract a large number of tourists to visit. Last year alone, 1.3 million people visited the Hawaii National Volcanic Park.
