According to the committee, heavy rains began pouring into nine provinces and regions in East and South China, including the provinces of Anhui, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi from June 5.

The storm has affected the lives of 4.68 million people, leaving 62,000 people evacuated, roofing 2,500 houses and causing 21,400 hectares of crops. According to estimates, natural disasters have directly damaged the Chinese economy of 1.7 billion yuan (about 277.16 million USD).

Meanwhile, in Central Europe, the flooding situation continues to have complicated developments. On June 8, the Hungarian government evacuated the population and reinforced the existing water-blocking dams along the Danube River when the worst flood in Europe for more than a decade is heading towards Budapest.

As noted, the water on the Danube River, which flows through many areas of Hungary, has surpassed the historic flood in 2006 in the country. According to the forecast of meteorological experts, the water level on the Danube River will reach 8.86 meters, 10cm higher than the 2006 flood peak.

Currently rescuers and volunteers have been deployed to some areas to reinforce leaks at the Danube dams.

So far, the historic flood has left at least 14 people dead, thousands of people have fled their homes and caused economic losses of billions of euros when swept across many European countries such as Austria, Germany, and Communist. Czech Republic and Slovakia.
