Hobbit may be one of the earliest people on Earth

The legendary hobbit of the film turns out to be real, and is also a character that appears from the beginning of the Earth.

If you've ever seen " The Lord of the Rings " (The lord of the rings), you'll know hobbits - the tiny race that plays an important role throughout the series and movies.

The hobbit was of course only a fictional product, but humans also found the remains of a similar strain in 2003. At that time, archaeologists unearthed the remains of a strain. Tiny people, with a height of only 1.02m in Indonesia. They call it a hobbit race , with the scientific name Homo floresiensis .

However, this is a very controversial finding, when it is impossible to unify the position of this strain on the evolutionary tree.
There are even opinions that hobbits are simply some humble Homo sapiens (modern human).

But in the end, they found the "place" for this race. Specifically, Australian scientists have recently suggested that hobbits are related to the Homo habilis strain, living in Africa from 1.75 million years ago. And this also means that the Hobbit is one of the first humans to appear on Earth.

According to Dr. Debbie Argue from the Australian National University: "The analysis shows that Homo floresiensis have relatives of Homo habilis. These two strains share common ancestors ."

"The strains of Homo floresiensis have evolved in Africa and migrated, or their common ancestors moved to Africa, and split into Hobbit strains somewhere . "

"Hobbit can evolve very early," she said.

Some previous studies have suggested that hobbits evolved from Homo erectus - a human race that survived from 1.8 million years. But Dr. Argue said they analyzed 133 different samples, without seeing this evolution.

For example, hobbit functions are the product of an evolutionary process earlier than erectus.

" When trying to assemble 2 species, we found that the results were not satisfactory" .

For the current Homo sapiens - or human species, the evidence also counteracts the relationship between the two species. According to Professor Mike Lee from Flinder University - the director of another study, the relevant ratio between Homo sapiens and Hobbit is extremely low.

" We can claim 99% as Homo erectus unrelated, and with Homo sapiens 100% is not ".

The study was published in the Journal of Human Evolution.
