Honey badgers and jackals teamed up to win the python

Honey badger escaped from the grip of the python with a jackal, but after teaming up to kill the common enemy, they rushed into the battle for food.

Roselyne Kerjosse recorded the battle between the top predators during a safari trip in Chobe National Park earlier this year. In the video, at first, the badger lies motionless, seemingly dying in the grip of the great python and cannot escape. However, two curious black-backed jackal suddenly appeared and approached the source of the noise to explore. Temporarily dispersed by the bite of the jackal, the python loosened its grip enough to loosen the bile.

Seemingly healthy after almost suffocating, the badger quickly found a way to finish the python with the help of the jackal, excited about the big meal. But neither side gave in to the bait and a fight broke out between the jackal and the badger. The python turned into a "rope" so the two enemies pulled back and forth. In the end, it seems that the victory belongs to badgers. He pulled the python into the bush and leisurely enjoyed the meal.

The habit of nocturnal hunting and the small size of badgers can make it difficult to spot them in the wild. Witnessing badgers in the war to win the pythons is very special. In addition to their gritty nature, badger badgers also possess a thick coat that makes it difficult for predators to attack, both pythons and jackals are struggling to find a way to tighten it.

Honey badgers can eat all prey from scorpions, hairy moles, geckos, porcupines to snake pythons. They also regularly infiltrate the hive to collect nectar, using tear gas glands in the anus to smoke before breaking the hive with sharp claws. Not only attracted to honey, badger honey also devoured the larvae. Other opportunistic predators like goose and jackal often follow bile to take advantage of easy meals.
