Hot ups help to advance faster

Scientists from Harvard Medical University (USA) monitor 824 people for more than 44 years to understand the role of emotions in their ability to succeed at work. The team found that those who were easily exposed to heat were three times more likely to advance than the rest.

The research team believes that assertive and knowledgeable people are more likely to get angry when defending their views, but always show respect for people who don't have the same opinion. They are interested in common interests, so they always know how to harmonize the interests of opposing individuals in a group. Therefore they often receive the respect of the group and are easily promoted to higher positions.

However, uncontrollable anger can bring many bad things. Everyone has been angry at least once in their lives, but only one of us knows how to express 'controlled' rage. According to Professor George Vaillant, the leader of the research team, those people always enjoy a lot of mental and work benefits.

'People always think that anger is an extremely dangerous form of emotion. But we find that, in many cases, anger can bring benefits , "added Professor George Vaillant. He also said that fear and anger are negative emotions that are innate, but they are very important for human survival.

Some previous experiments showed that negative emotions forced primitive people to focus their attention on some trees instead of the whole forest, whereby they discovered food and enemies more easily. 'If we can practice our emotional control skills in general and anger in particular, we can use them to achieve great things , ' the head of the research group concluded.
